General Conference

I love General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Today started the 183rd Session of the Bi Annual Conference of the Church.

I listened to the Saturday morning session, this morning.  

I was uplifted, and encouraged as always.

The spirit in our home is very unique on  Conference week-end.

It is a highlight to our days.

Grammy lived here for years after my Grandpa died.

This was a home that they had bought as an investment home.

They had never lived in it.

But while a widow Grammy decided this was where she wanted to live.  So she did for many years.

I remember staying here while my family moved from Germany to Utah.  We started school here while living here.  My Dad had started his practice in SL.  He was looking for a home for us to buy.

When he found a home we moved to SL.

Heidi passed here the other weekend while visiting a baseball game of Connor's.  

This home is up for sale.

Couldn't work without my owl, who times precisely.

Silver Sage

Walking out my back door, I see this beautiful healthy sage plant.

It is thriving in our cooler weather.

Every time I walk out my back door, I wonder should I cut that sage down for the winter.

This plant provides wonderful sage for our Thanksgiving turkey every year.

Should I dry the whole plant?

Hot Bread & Honey

Yummy hot bread and S&K's honey!!!

What a delicious treat!!

We enjoyed a late breakfast or lunch with a wonderful aroma in the house as the bread baked.  The golden honey sat on the counter waiting to spread on those hot buns.
