My Day

Carson and Thomas fell asleep at the same time in the afternoon.  For a minute I was not sure what to do with myself, with both of them sleeping.

When the girls arrived home from school and playing,  they hid from Grandma's camera!!

It was a lovely day.  The rain, cloud cover, and temp., all pointed towards a change in season.  I am excited for autumn to arrive!

Piano

I love to hear the piano played.
I loved when my children were home and played the piano.

My Dad has always played a piano when I was growing up.
We had his families Steinway piano in our living room and I loved hearing it played.

He traded that piano for this piano years ago.

I love love love to hear him play.  He plays by ear.
He has a lovely repertoire of music he plays.

I will have to find the names of the songs he plays and list them in this blog when I do.  When ever I hear his music I am taken back to so many years of hearing him play his piano.

I have been setting up their new condo in SLC and took this photo of his piano there today.

There were three years (years ago)  that this piano graced my living room while they served a 3 year mission in Kenya Africa,  for our  church,  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

It is a three egg day today.  Yesterday was a four egg day.

Our New Soccer Player

Abby started soccer this fall.  She had her first soccer game on Saturday.
She was a great player and team mate.
I got to see her first game and loved watching her run after and kick the ball.

Go Abby!!!!!

Great Evening

Russ and Liz gave us their tickets for this concert tonight.  They had a conflict with their schedule.
We enjoyed our evening immensely.

The Conference Center was filled.  James Taylor got a standing ovation with 2 recalls!!!
Well not to mention he got a standing ovation just with his first appearance on stage.
He sang Sweet Baby James on his first call back.  He sang Shower the People You Love With Love on his second.
Yea they could have been my favorites of the evening.
I love his rambling voice.  I at times didn't think the symphony or choir were quite the right match for him.

With that said it comes close to being my al-time favorite concert in the Conference Center.

Feast

My chickens had a feast tonight!!!

This has been the best watermelon I have had in several years.  I picked it up at a local fruit market yesterday.
