Mutton Busting

This cowboy is waiting to do his mutton busting...

Here is one of Connor's supporters...

Going in to get on the Mutton.

Coming out riding the Mutton... no one told Connor he needed to bring his own rope to hold onto. So Connor went out on the mutton holding onto his neck. Both arms around the sheep.

Mutton recovering after their rides...

Cheering Connor on!!!!!!

Way to go Connor!!!! Great job riding that Mutton!!!!
We loved watching you!!!

Fun

I have had so much fun with my paint box today!!!!!

More Sunflower Beauties

At times the sun sets these blooms ablaze!!! No photo shop on this photo!!

This sunflower is a volunteer in my yard.  It is about 10 feet tall at least.  In the evening with the sun filtering through its petals it is just a striking giant.

Photos

These are photos of my new Grand baby to born in December!!

B&N are living in Seattle.  The equipment that took these ultra sound photos had a 3-D capacity.

It looks like this little one is talking to me!  This effect sure does make you feel as though you are seeing this little one as an actual baby!!!!

We still do not know the gender of this little one.  I have my vote in that she is a little girl!!!

Thanks for these photos N&B!!!

Pictures of the day

And a fun day it was...

I spent time with a deflating helium balloon and Carson. We tossed that wonderful balloon around the living room for hours.  It had a wonderful loft that was just perfect for hours of fun play.

Thanks for being my buddy Carson.

K&A spent the afternoon playing with a friend down the street.

When I feel a need to take photos, like the one above.
Carson too feels that need to take photos, like the one below!!

Yea, Carson is 3 years old.

Some of our first garden tomatoes this year!

Aren't they beautiful?!

And we all know how wonderful they taste.  By this time in the year I am just itching for these garden tomatoes.  We planted ours late and so are reaping them late.

They are beautiful!!!! And boy do they taste good!!!!!

Surprise Finding

Imagine my surprise today when I read an article about the Top 15 places to live in the US.  I can't remember who it was that made the list.(CNNMoney)  I do remember it said they rotate every other year between listing the top 15 best large cities with the top 15 small communities.

This year it was the Top 15 small communities in the US that were listed in their ratings.
Of the top towns listed, I was very familiar with 2 of them.

One was Shrewsbury, Mass.  That is where my Mom grew up.  Just a suburb of Boston. Of course I realize that this town is listed as a town today, not back in the time my Mom lived there. But still curious to me.

The other was Farmington, Ut.  This is where my daughter and her family live. This is the neighboring city to where I live.

The criteria for the ratings were community, quality of life, family friendly, open and green spaces, beauty, recreation...

I find that so fascinating. And feel so lucky to have had such wonderful places to have my family raised. I know that I live in a great community, and have always felt extremely blessed to have raised my family here in Fruit Heights, Utah.

Shout out for Utah!!
