Flour, flour, flour

And the girls enjoyed the flour....

And the boys enjoyed the flour!!!!

And we all had fun in the kitchen in the flour...

somewhere in there we made some yummy rolls, some hambergers, and some salsa dip for dinner!!!

Hats

And the day went on and we had a snow storm.....

Of course all the kids wanted to go out in the snow...

None of them brought their own coats...

But boy did they have fun till the cold nipped them!!

Fun Times

I set these cute kids up in the living room to play and watch a movie while Heidi and I went downstairs to organize.

It lasted for a little while. It became time to pick Connor up at school.  We all got in the car.  I forgot something and came back in the house to get it.

Look who I found watching the movie when I came back in the house!!!

Party Poppers

I have been cleaning today.

I have been going through things and organizing and throwing away things that are not needed.  I tend to hold on to things way too long.  So I am going through the stacks on my desk and the kitchen counter. 

I came across these party poppers someone gave to Spencer to celebrate his B-Day, that was in early February.

I decided to just pop them and throw them away, until I remembered that I tend grandkids tomorrow.

They will love popping these....

Luckily that wasn't the case with many things!  I was able to discard many things today!

Robin Egg Blue

Robin eggs

These are not real Robin Eggs but they are a nice color just the same.  I love robin egg blue.  These eggs are now in my living room to add a touch of the blue color to the room. These are painted eggs and they are not quite robin egg blue, but they are charming.

Treasure

I was sitting in the living room tonight.  It is a lovely room. I like it.  I was enjoying the room's loveliness and I look over at the fireplace and I spot treasure that makes me smile.  It warms my heart so much that now this treasure is the lovliest part of the room!!!

This is obviously one of my little grandchilds treasure that they must have gathered when they were here last.  I am not sure which one's treasure or when it was that they gathered it, but it has become the highlight of my evening warming my heart as I think of each one of my grandchildren and I imagine them stashing this little gathered treasure.

All eight of you grandchildren are Grandma's treasure!!!!

Strawberries

I love that we have wonderful strawberries almost year round now, available at the grocery stores.
I am not sure where they all are grown or if they are grown in greenhouses or what, but we do seem to have nice strawberries all year.

We bought some at the store tonight. They are big and red and beautiful!!

We were going to make strawberry shortcake.  Russ brought out a tool he picked up at one of his haunts...

When we make strawberry shortcake someone makes the biscuits and someone else often has to cut the berries. I am not sure which takes longer slicing the berries or making the biscuits?

You won't bleieve this.....

Now that made short time of those berries. They were sliced looking so uniform in a split second, it was amazing!!!!

I have to love this new tool I tell you, I'm thinking its use may become endless!!!

Sunset

I have been home all day today.
It has been a lovely day.

The sunset tonight rivaled all of our sunsets.

We boast the best sunsets ever here in F.H.
