Oma & Opa

Oma and I had a great swim together today.
We then, went up on their roof, and had a lunch together.
I brought with me some of my garden yummies,
as well as other yummies (chicken pot pie).

We enjoyed ourselves, it was lovely with a slight breeze.
Their roof has many lovely awnings for shade.
You know I am all about shade!!!

Off to See the Chickens After Dinner and Gather Eggs

Elsie wore her chicken costume (minus the tutu) from her last dance recital.
She expressed that she thought the real chickens thought she was a chicken, when they saw her!!!!!
(love those little make-believe minds, and sincerity!!!

Checking out this years pumpkin patch...

Little ones like to carry their own eggs up to the house, they don't always make it there though!!

Friday Fun with Three Grandkids

When you see little faces like this, my day smiles all day long!!!!!

The day is sunny even if there are clouds or rain outside!!

Saturday Soccer with Carson

It was fun for Russ and I to go see Carson play soccer this morning!
This was our first time seeing his games.
This is Carson's first activity that he is involved in and he did GREAT!!

He loves his yellow shoes and seems to even know what is supposed to be happening
out on the soccer field.

Prior to visiting Carson's soccer game, we got to face time with Nate and we got
to see Bennett play soccer in his game today in Seattle.  That was a wonderful opportunity for us too.

We love you Grandkids!  We missed Connor's football game:(.

Russ and I Went Camping

It is such a different experience going camping with only two people.
How much food do you need?  Do you want to spend time cooking and preparing food, like usual? Is the food a major part of the camping experience?
That would mean a lot of food prep and cooking time.  Granted, fantastic food, when you do that preparation.   Are the smells of food cooking, part of the charm of being in the mountains?
But with all this debate going through my head, I opted for soup from Olive Garden, bagels and cream cheese from Einstein Bagels, apple smoked bacon, salads from a deli at a grocery store in Kamas and we were set!!!

We did camp in a beautiful area, the fishing a disappointment, weather was my dream.  Unbeatable company made for a lovely relaxing get away.  The days went too fast (4).  But a shower did
lure me home!!!

Ask Russ about his rogue 4 wheeling adventure.

I am still too traumatized to talk about it!!!

Do you see my new friend?  He, along with his friends, crawled all over me, even on my head over the days we camped.

We had to chase a chipmunk out of the Suburban, and also chase one out of our tent.
I have never experienced critters that were so comfortable, with humans!
