Boat Locks In Seattle

I loved the patriotism...

I became fascinated with the various types of boats coming through the locks.  This lock was for the smaller boats, the next lock over for the larger vessels.  We only saw the small lock fill up and empty.

The boat details became interesting to me.

The deck life apparent, and a little luring with mystery, having never been on many of the boat types.

The locks raising the water or lowering the water for the boats to flow from Puget Sound into Lake Washington, or visa versa.

And the bridges raising for the boats to pass under.
