My Owl Box

Russ and Cory went out in the yard on Thanksgiving to put up my Owl Box.  My owl box was given to me for my Birthday, this year, from Heidi & Cory & their kids.   Cory and the kids made an Owl box for me, and a box for their backyard this year.   This is the year that Heidi and Cory's family, had their Owl family join them in their yard all summer.   We loved watching these 3 baby owls and their parents, as they would come and allow us to photograph them and delight in watching them.

My hope now is that I will have an owl family adopt my owl box as their home for next year.  I understand this is the time of year the owls chose their nesting boxes for next year.

I would chose this lovely owl box if I were an owl looking for a home for my family!!!

Setting Up

We are getting things set up for Thanksgiving.

Anna has her pie crusts cooked.

I found some fabric for a long tablecloth.

I have not found my long lace tablecloth.

The house is beginning to smell good.

A day later and a little closer to our Thanksgiving meal.

The house smells fabulous.

The turkey is still cooking.

We are having friends smoke a turkey for us, as well as the turkey cooking that we can smell.

Stuffing is made. Pies are made.  Sweet potatoes made.  Creamed onions cooked.

Spencer Moved Out

I stopped by Spencer's new apartment tonight.  It was too dark for a photo of the building, but not too dark for some of the charm of the front entrance.

I am happy for Spencer, I love his apartment, very spacious and clean.  It has lovely hardwood floors throughout.

I am now deciding what to do with Spencer's old room.

A trip to the Zoo...

We enjoyed the zoo on a cool day, today.   We found some animals inside, but enough outside to make it a fun day.  So glad Surey was out today.  Carson loves the elephants and was so happy to see Surey.

Yea this guy decided he loves french fries, sorry Liz!!!

Hydrangea

When in Seattle, a couple of weeks ago, I saw so many hydrangea blooming in people's yard.

I loved them.

We love our little ones!!!

We love this little one.  We had a sleepover last night at Grandma's.  The sleepover ended at 3:00AM when this little one had trouble breathing.  His Dad had to venture out in the middle of the night to retrieve him and Carson...  Grandma did not have any asthma medicine.

Company

I am happy for my company today.  We are working on her friendship quilt.

So glad to have her here for the day.  She came to rake leaves, but they are under a couple of inches of snow!!!
