Goal For the Day

My goal for today is cleaning my bedroom.

My bedroom takes abuse.
My bedroom serves as a closet for all the things that need moving when someone is visiting.

My bedroom is always cluttered.
It has things that need putting away in it.
It has things that need giving away in it.

It is the catch-all for all times.

I want to change that.
The first thing is to clear it out.

Then I will clean it out. That includes going through and sorting items.
It is a big job and I hope to focus on it all day....

I love when all the grandkids take care of each other and like to be together.

Abby was a great friend to Ryan tonight at our family dinner.

Pottery Barn , and many other catalogues that I enjoy reading just for inspiration.  They are put together with an artistic eye so they are so fun to look through and get lost in....

All Good Things Must Come To An End!

All good things must come to an end....

These have been beautiful much loved blooms!!  They are all hanging their saging heads today!!
Their color is still vibrant... but their heads are sagging.
I have enjoyed their beauty for days now.  There is an element of beauty still left in them, I have cut of their heads and put them in a plate and they are still beautiful.

Connor's B-Ball

Connor started B-Ball today.

It was his first B-Ball game.

He played so well, had a lot of fun and even made a basket... it was a good time.

Mabel and Elsie had as much fun as Connor at his first game...

And the Rains turned to Snow

Now the question is will it snow all night?!!

Heidi's roof is now leaking in 3 places!!

The Man I Married

This is the man I married!

This is the man I love!







His constitiution is "the weather won't keep me from my work!"

No the weather will not keep me from my work.... rain, rain or more rain!!! When I am wet clear through to my skin than I can't get any wetter, so why come in then!!

Now Zoe has her limits." Please, please let me in out of this rain!!!"" Can't you see I am drenched?!!"

When Russ and I were dating we did like to walk in the rain.  One of my favorite dates was walking in the rain with no umbrella.  We were drowned rats when we arrived at our destination my apartment!!

There is nothing like the rain, coming down unless it is coming down into your home where it shouldn't be coming into.  Sorry again that your roof is leaking Heidi and Cory!!!

Doorknocker

Russ and I recently celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary.

I noticed on a photo in the last blog a glimpse of the doorknocker Russ installed on our door last Saturday.

We recieved this doorknocker when we were married. It has family significance.  We have a plaque explaining its significance inside the front door.  We have always had this knocker mounted on wood next to the plaque.

We decided we wanted it installed on our door now. So last Saturday Russ put it on the door, at the same time he installed a new doorknob. ( our last doorknob had only functioned in one direction over the last month.)

I think it looks mighty fine out in our entry.

I was just ready to decorate our entry for Spring when Winter appeared again.  I will leave out our lighted pine trees and sleigh for another month or so before bringing Spring to the porch now.

And the Rains are coming

Our moisture has been minimum this year.
We have not had the snowfall that is usual. The ski resorts are in need...

Today the ski resorts may be getting their needed snow but we are getting endless rain.  There was a little flooding in our neighborhood a couple of days ago.  And now today... the rain and raindrops are
everywhere.

The music on the roof is comforting, it is constant, and very lulling.  One cannot help but feel a coziness brought on by the lulling constant music of the drops of rain, unless your roof has not been repaired yet from the windstorm of recent.

I think then these raindrops are not so comforting... I know Heidi's roof is leaking and a count of the remaining tarped roofs tells me she is not alone.

So comfort to one is stress to another... it looks like the rains are in for the day though.

Friday at K&A&C's

I spent the day with A&M&K&C.

Mabel came down with me today. Abby and Mabel had such a good time together.  Carson loved playing dolls with them too.

I forgot my camera, so sad. I missed alot of darling photos of these kids today.

We went to play outside, decked in boots and umberella's just when Heidi pulled up to pick up Mabel. Not a wlecome site for girls having so much fun together...

Abby and Carson and I then took off walking up to Kate's school to pick her up.  No stoller today. Carson walked the whole way like a champ!!!  He loves being like the big kids. Again another cute photo missed.

We returned home to play with our babies again and we also watched The Smurf's latest show.
It really was a fun day!

Anniversary Roses

Their name is
Passion Rose.

I love yellow roses and
these have been exquisite for a week so
far!!!

I have loved them. I have had them downstairs with me in my studio and have loved their scent.  It was cool down there and so I think that has contributed to the roses longevity!!  They are now upstairs and still going strong!!!
