Hostas

In Michigan our home had several varieties of hostas growing in the front flower beds.  They were healthy and beautiful.  I learned to love hostas from them.

Hostas have a tropical feel to them to me. They have big beautiful leaves. Sometimes of variegated colors. They have flower shoots at certain times of the year.  A contrast to the large leaves, these flower shoots are tall and rise above the leaves in a delicate shoot.

Several years ago I put one of our hostas, in a pot in the front flower bed.  I couldn't help notice yesterday how healthy it is looking this year.  I know it has loved all the moisture we have received this Spring.

I thought I would share the beauty of our hosta.

Aren't the leaves quite a show!
